Make sure you buy treats that contain the appropriate dose for your dog, which is 1 mg per 10 pounds of body weight. So if you have a 20-pound dog, you want to buy 2 mg CBD treats. You would feed one of those treats every time you want to give your dog a dose.

Some owners like to buy tiny, 1 mg CBD treats even if they have a larger dog. This enables you to scale the dose according to your needs. For example, you can give your 60-pound dog just two or three treats when he needs just a little bit of mood relief, or 6 treats when you want more drastic effects.
